    FOOTBALL NEWS : FIFA supports 139 social projects in 58 countries in 2016

    The International Football Federation (FIFA) that was allocated this year to $ 4.3 million (3.7 million euros) to support social development projects across football, carried out by 139 organizations in 58 countries around the world.

     

     
    On the occasion of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, which celebrates the United Nations on Wednesday, the sixth of April / April, highlighted the FIFA daily work of organizations receiving support through the "Footbal for Hope" initiative (Football for Hope), which is an important example of " the huge power of football to contribute to social development. "
    The head of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, that "Football can not change the world, but has the power to contribute to the improvement of the lives of many people.
    He added, "As President of FIFA, I think it's important to support our institution (as the world governing body of football) through sustainable initiatives, particularly the initiative (Football for Hope), organizations that resort to football as a catalyst to achieve positive social change."
    Of the eight organizations that have joined the initiative during the 2016 FIFA said both "Canada Scores", an organization that provides free of activities outside of school for street children in Vankovr, and "Policy Center For Roma and Minorities", an organization that seeks to reduce the educational dropout children ratios ethnic minorities living in poverty in Romania.
    International Football Federation confirmed that all projects submitted to the "Football for Hope" initiative pass a rigorous selection procedure to check the course and outcome and be helpful in the long term proposals.
