Valencia announced the dismissal of coach Gary Neville to poor results and the deterioration of the team level during the period in which the England coach took the job.
The club said on their website, "After careful consideration of the situation the club decided to make a change in the interest of Valencia even extend this season." He continued, "We thank Gary for the efforts worker know her with Valencia and we wish him every success in the future."
